“Beautiful things don’t ask for attention”

… but we still have a responsibility to protect them

Hello!

It’s nice to meet you!

You can call me Breanna, Bre, or BJ. I’m an award-winning photographer and videographer with a BSc in marine biology, currently based on the world’s largest freshwater island, Mnidoo Mnising/Manitoulin Island.

Working both above and below the waves, in the studio and outdoors, I specialize in capturing stories and working with brands that are rooted in conservation, sustainability, and the profound connection we as humans have with our environment. As a member of a small community, I am also proud to work with locally-based artisans, businesses, and organizations, providing visuals that get your products, brand, and story seen and heard.

Interested in working together? Whether you’re looking to promote a new product, want to capture what it’s like to tour with your company, or have a fresh idea you think I may like, I would love to connect!

Get to know the person behind the lens

Growing up, I lived and traveled all over North America; from Key West to Alaska, Nova Scotia to Haida Gwaii, there’s few places and ecosystems between that I haven’t explored. But no matter where I found myself, one thing held true: I couldn’t be in a place without experiencing its natural wonders. I often found myself exploring local forests, finding new hiking trails, or spending time by the water, always with camera in hand to document any wildlife encounters or serene and quiet moments I encountered.

Meet Breanna!

My experiences growing up - and the love for nature and the environment they fostered - are what drives my work today. I love capturing what makes a place unique, highlighting not just the grand wildlife or the majestic landscapes, but those fleeting moments as well, the ones that often go unnoticed. I love slowing down and taking in my surroundings, feeling connected to a place and its story. And whether it’s in a studio or outdoors, my goal is always to highlight the importance of our natural world and local environments, and to emphasize that treating our land with care, compassion, and respect is the key to a sustainable future.
